Republican incumbent adds Chamber, Manufacturers, Homebuilders to list of support
LANSING – State Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville, was recently endorsed for re-election by three leading organizations representing Michigan businesses and manufacturers.
The Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Manufacturers Association and Homebuilders Association of Michigan, representing thousands of job creators throughout the state, endorsed Green for his leadership and support of pro-jobs, pro-growth policies.
“Michigan has created over 250,000 private sector jobs and now leads in the nation in creating new manufacturing jobs,” Green commented. “Over the past few years, we’ve made Michigan a good place to do business and I’m honored to have the support of the job creators who are driving our economic recovery.”
Jim Holcomb, senior vice president of the Chamber, cited Green’s “…strong commitment to Michigan’s economic competitiveness and free enterprise and his support for policies based on individual freedom, incentive and opportunity.”
MMA president Chuck Hadden highlighted Green’s “…extraordinary commitment to manufacturing competitiveness in the global economy.”
Homebuilders issued their endorsement because of Green’s support for Michigan’s housing and construction industry.
Green is seeking re-election to represent Bay, Lapeer and Tuscola counties during a second term in the Michigan Senate. More information about his campaign is available at www.mikegreenforsenate.com.
