“I believe in the sanctity of human life at all stages and will not waiver in my commitment to defending the right to life for the most vulnerable in our society,” Green commented in accepting the endorsement. “I am honored with the support of Michigan’s pro-life movement and will proudly represent the 31st District’s pro-life values in the Senate.”

As a legislator, Green has strongly supported several successful pro-life measures approved by the legislature, including a ban on partial birth abortions, subjecting abortion providers to the same standards as medical clinics, requiring elective abortions to be covered by insurance riders, and improving the state’s adoption laws.

In announcing the endorsement, RLM President Barbara Listing thanked Green for his commitment to the protection of human life, born and unborn.

“The years ahead will bring us new opportunities to defend the civil rights of the unborn, handicapped and elderly frail,” Listing said. “Your support and leadership will be absolutely essential in restoring the basic right to life to the most helpless members of our human family. The RLM-PAC is honored to support you in this election.”

A father of five and grandfather to twenty, Green has served in the Michigan Senate since 2011. He has been married to wife Paula for 47 years. They reside in Mayville.

The Republican primary will be held on Tuesday, August 5. For more information on Senator Green, visit
